Brianna Murray is praised for having “one of those soprano voices, clear, perfectly-placed, angelic, that could go on all day and I would still want more” (Herald Times).   Brianna will begin the 23/24 season performing as a studio artist with St. Petersburg Opera as Oberto in Alcina.  Brianna will also perform with Madison Opera as studio artist performing Jeanette in L'amant Anonyme and covering Cunegonde in Candide. Last season Brianna performed in productions  with Chicago Opera Theater and Indianapolis Opera. Her performance credits include opera, musical theatre, and concert work. Other operatic highlights include Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Frasquita in Carmen, and Clorinda in La Cenerentola. Brianna sang as a soloist in Harry Potter 8 in concert with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. She also sang the role of Juliet in the new musical Star Cross’d Lovers. In Fall 2021 she performed the role of Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at Indiana University.  In April 2022, Brianna sang the role of Adina in L'elisir d'amore at Bloomington Chamber Opera.  Equally comfortable on the musical theater stage, Brianna performed the role of Anne Egerman in Sondheim's A Little Night Music at Quisisana Resort summer of 2022. Raised in the Chicagoland area, Brianna completed her undergraduate degrees in Voice and Psychology at Oberlin Conservatory in 2017 and obtained her master’s degree in voice along with a certificate in Vocology from Indiana University in 2020.
